Monday

Letter Hunt

Read with your child, once you are finished reading go on a letter hunt!

Review one letter and then see how many of that letter you can find on a page.

Do as many letters as you want.

Tuesday

Playdough Snakes

Have your child make a ball of playdough and then roll it out on a table to create a long, thin “snake.”

See if you can create fat, skinny, long, and short snakes.

Wednesday

Practice Bucket Filling

Watch the following video and practice ways to fill someone’s bucket.

Talk about how it feels to be a bucket filler.

Thursday

Name Practice

  • Help your child introduce  his/herself by first and last name with a strong voice. 

  • Practice having them find their name in print. (This will help prepare them for the classroom as they must find their desk, materials, etc.)

  • Bonus: Have them practice writing their name.

Friday

Nature Walk

  • Make a nature walk checklist of 5 things that you want to find on your walk. Here is an example: squirrel, flower, tree, bird, etc.

  • Help your child draw a picture of each item on your checklist if they want to draw.

  • Go for a nature walk adventure and search for the items on the checklist.

  • Count how many of each item you see and mark it on your paper.
