2023-24 BUDGET COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT PROCESS

DEADLINE EXTENDED

THE FOLLOWING PROCESS WILL BE USED TO FILL VACANCIES ON THE OREGON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET COMMITTEE:

1. Vacancies will be announced at a regularly scheduled school board meeting and posted on the district website.

2. Anyone wishing to be considered for a budget committee vacancy may request or download an application form. Forms are available at the Oregon City School District Administration Office, 1417 12th Street, Oregon City, OR 97045 (phone #503-785-8000), or online at www.ocsd62.org. This application, with any supporting materials, should be submitted to holly.beck@orecity.k12.or.us. The Board will make the appointment(s) at the regular session board meeting on February 12, 2024.

3. Each board member has been assigned responsibility for one budget committee position. When a budget committee vacancy occurs, the board member assigned to the position will be responsible to recommend an individual to fill the vacancy. The following board members are assigned the following positions:

is responsible for:

Alex Halpern (Board Position 2)

is responsible for:

(Vacant, expires 6-30-26)

Michael Canchola (Board Position 3)

is responsible for:

Budget Committee Position 3

(Filled, expires 6-30-24)

Debbie Hays (Board Position 4)

is responsible for:

Budget Committee Position 4

(Filled, expires 6-30-25)

Katie Wilson (Board Position 5)

is responsible for:

Budget Committee Position 5

(Vacant, expires 6-30-26)

Heidi Blackwell (Board Position 6)

is responsible for:

Budget Committee Position 6

(Filled, expires 6-30-24)

Pamela White (Board Position 7)

is responsible for:

Budget Committee Position 7

(Filled, expires 6-30-25)

4. The board members responsible will review applications and select recommended candidates for appointment.

5. The name of the selected candidates will be submitted for board approval at a regular school board meeting. The committee appointment will be announced and district personnel will notify unsuccessful candidates.
