Oregon City School District is proud to recognize Angie Gilbert as this year’s recipient of the district’s Future Ready Award, part of OCSD’s Strategic Plan Staff Awards.
The Future Ready Award recognizes staff members who help students prepare for the many opportunities available after high school. Whether students are considering college, career training, apprenticeships, military service or entering the workforce, the award celebrates those who help students explore their interests, identify possible pathways and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
Through her work at the district level, Gilbert helps strengthen the connections among schools, students, families, employers and community partners. Her efforts support career exploration and help students better understand how their learning today can open doors to future opportunities.

Gilbert’s work reflects the Oregon City School District Strategic Plan priority of Career & College Readiness. This priority focuses on ensuring every student has access to the learning experiences, information, guidance and real-world connections needed to graduate prepared for a successful next step.
The Future Ready Award highlights the importance of helping students see themselves in a future filled with options. By supporting exploration, planning and connection to opportunity, Gilbert helps students build the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed choices about college, careers and life after graduation.
Gilbert was among 10 Oregon City School District staff members recognized at Welcome Back Day for bringing the district’s Strategic Plan to life through their everyday work.
